Cold Lake is home to Canada’s largest air force base, an active oil industry, a booming retail trade and year-round tourism industry. It is approximately 294 km northeast of Edmonton. Incorporated in 1996 through the amalgamation of the former towns of Grand Centre, Cold Lake and Wing Cold Lake.
